The Impossible Becomes Possible

by Randy
A clown is a character that is not quite normal. He isn’t like a normal pedestrian that you may walk past on the street each and every day. He tips over on a ladder, then pops right back up. He blows up an impossible balloon and in seconds turns it into a lobster! He accepts the challenge of an impossibility and simply does it.
In Luke 18:27 Jesus said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Clowns, even in the midst of their stupidity and ineptness, acheive the impossible. When eighteen clowns pile out of a small car, they are doing the impossible. When a clown has a stick of dynamite explode behind him and his pants fly off, that’s impossible! When a stumbling bumbling joey picks up a clarinet and beautifully plays, our minds say, “impossible!”
There is a condition known as idiot servante. An example of this would be the mentally challenged individual who cannot read or seem to memorize simple facts; yet in the middle of the night, music is heard in his home, for he has sat down at the piano and is playing Mozart by memory; all without ever having a lesson. This seems impossible, yet it happens. This is bewildering to the natural mind. It’s beyond the natural.
Clowns fit in this catagory. They show their lack of ability, thier poor reasoning, their naivete, their foolishness consistently. Then, once the audience is convinced that the clown is hopeless, he brilliantly juggles, or plays a saxophone, or does a gymnastic stunt. This clown is not a normal person.
Our God is a God who works beyond the natural. In 1 Corinthians chapter one scripture states, “God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.” What seems impossible in the natural-- that which seems totally foolish--is what God often uses to accomplish something mind-boggling. This is beyond the natural. It is super-natural.
Those who say “impossible,” are visually reminded by the clown that many things may be impossible for normal man, but with God all things are possible.
